Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) was formed in 1998 with the amalgamation of the Victoria County Board of Education, the Muskoka Board of Education and the Haliburton County Board of Education.  This encompasses the municipalities of the City of Kawartha Lakes, Haliburton County, and the District Municipality of Muskoka. The TLDSB represents approximately 16,000 students with 41 Elementary schools, 7 Secondary schools, and 6 Alternate Education and Training centres.
